At CanIPhish, we prioritize delivering powerful multi-language capabilities to meet the needs of our diverse, global user base. We support 74 written languages and provide spoken translations for 29 languages across all our training modules.
The core language for all CanIPhish training modules is English. From there, we use AI to translate content into multiple languages. However, we recognize that language is nuanced, and context can vary significantly across cultures. Despite the cutting-edge technology we employ, challenges in maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance persist.

Incorrect Translation Reporting Tool
To address these challenges, we’ve developed a Rapid Translation Feedback Mechanism. This feature allows users to suggest translation changes to written content directly within the platform, ensuring our content remains accurate and culturally relevant. The process involves:
- User Submission: Submit a suggested translation change from within a training module or learner dashboard for any text you feel requires improvement.
- AI and Human Review: Suggestions are analyzed using a combination of AI for efficiency and human oversight for contextual accuracy, enabling quick and accurate changes.
- Platform Update: Once approved, changes will be reflected on the platform within 48 hours.
How To Provide Translation Feedback
You can provide feedback wherever you see the "Translation Icon.".
- Launch the translation feedback tool: Click on the Translation Icon

Select the text you want to provide feedback about: Start typing the text you want to change. When you see the section of text you want to change, click it.

Suggest a change: We will provide the English text it was translated from on the left and give you the opportunity to suggest a change on the right. Here is an example of a suggested change:
- Submit the change: Once you've suggested a change, click the blue "submission" button to send the change to CanIPhish.
- You can repeat this process whenever you spot an incorrect translation. Your contributions will positively affect the whole user base!
What Happens Next?
When you submit a translation, you contribute to the crowd-sourcing effort that powers the evolution of CanIPhish's translated content. Submitted corrections are placed in a queue for review by the CanIPhish team. Leveraging a combination of AI and human oversight, approved changes are deployed into production, typically within 48 hours, depending on submission volume.
Please note that all translations are subject to review and approval by the CanIPhish team. While we aim to provide a streamlined and collaborative process, the final decision rests solely with CanIPhish. We reserve the right to modify, adapt, or decline submissions to ensure they meet our platform's standards and objectives.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why can't I see the translation icon?
The translation icon will not appear if:
- The source language of the training module is not English.
- The language the learner is accessing the training module is set to English
- The learner dashboard is white-labelled
Was my change accepted?
The CanIPhish team manually review each translation correction and applies the change within 48 hours if the translation is deemed more accurate than the existing translation. We do not notify users of translation acceptance but it will be evident when reviewing the training module once updated.
Can I submit changes to customized training modules?
If the customized training module is written in English, then automated translations from CanIPhish for that training can have corrections submitted for them.
Can I submit a translation issue for other sections of CanIPhish?

When submitting your request, be sure to include the following:
- A screenshot of the area requiring changes, marked up with details about what needs to be updated.
- The incorrect translation currently displayed.
- The correct translation you recommend.
