The CanIPhish Cloud Platform supports several advanced training settings that determine if training should be assigned to specific individuals, and how many attempts they have to try and complete the training. To better understand these settings, please read on below.

Training Grace Periods
Grace periods help to mitigate circumstances where an employee is reassigned training that they have only recently completed. In the event a training is reassigned within the grace period, the training is automatically marked as complete.
The training grace period is defined by a number of days which can be between 1 to 365. If a grace period is to be configured, our recommendation is 14 days.
Example Scenario: Let's say you have a new employee who is assigned 6 training modules immediately after they start. Within the first week of their employment, they complete all 6 training modules. Unfortunately for them, the following week, the organization kicks off annual refresher security awareness training, which includes all 6 of the training modules, they only completed 1 week ago. Without a grace period, this new starter will need to recomplete, all 6 modules. However, if a grace period of only 1 week is configured, then all of these training would be automatically marked as complete, meaning the employee doesn't need to recomplete them.
Training Attempt Limits
Configuring a maximum attempt limit helps to prevent users from brute-forcing training and passing by sheer luck. If a user hits the maximum attempt limit, the training is removed from their list of assigned trainings and is marked as failed in the corresponding training campaign.
The maximum attempt limit is defined by a number of attempts which can be between 1 to 100. If an attempt limit is configured, our recommendation is 3 attempts.
If the training attempt limit is hit, the training will be permanently marked as failed within both the learner dashboard, and training campaign statistics view. From the view of the platform, failed trainings are considered complete, and will appear but no certificate of completion is issued to the learner. The failed training appears as follows:
