The Phishing Delivery Schedule controls when and how your simulated phishing emails are sent, helping you create realistic and unpredictable delivery patterns. By adjusting these settings, you can choose the days, times, and pace of delivery to match your campaign goals while avoiding patterns that make phishing emails easy to spot.
1. Phishing Schedule Settings
Schedule (Between Days)
Defines the range of days during which your campaign emails will be sent.
Schedule (Between Times)
Sets the daily time window in which emails will be sent.
Schedule (Time Zone)
Specifies the time zone that will be used for your chosen dates and times.
First Batch Delivery Indicator
Displays exactly when the first batch of emails will be sent.
Emails Delivered per Hour
Indicates the number of emails that will be sent in each batch, each hour (randomized by 10+- minutes for added unpredictability). The minimum send rate is 1 email per hour.
Important Note
The schedule is meant to spread email delivery over a short, reasonable period to keep phishing email timing unpredictable, not to run campaigns over very long periods.
If the number of recipients is smaller than the total number of hourly slots in your schedule, the campaign will finish early. This is because the system sends a minimum of one email per hour.
Example: If you have 20 employees and set a 14-day schedule with an 8-hour daily send window, the system will send one email per hour for the first 20 hours. All emails will be sent by day 3, even though the schedule was set for 14 days.
Best Practice: Set your schedule with recipient numbers in mind so the campaign runs for your intended period and keeps delivery unpredictable without ending early.
1.1 Phishing Campaign Frequency

You can set a phishing campaign to run:
One-off (Default)
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly (4-5 weeks between campaign occurrences)
Quarterly
Your preference is selected on stage three 'Set Delivery Schedule' of the new campaign wizard.
If your campaign recurs, it is strongly recommended to use multiple phishing emails/or training modules to avoid users receiving the same material in each cycle.
Phishing Material: You can select up to 40 templates in a campaign. These will be chosen at random at each campaign occurrence.
2. Training Campaign Frequency
The Training Delivery Schedule controls when your training assignments are sent, allowing you to align delivery with your organization’s preferred training cadence. These settings help ensure employees receive training at the right intervals to support learning goals and compliance requirements.
You can set a training campaign to run:
One-off (Default)
Weekly
Fortnightly
Monthly (4-5 weeks between campaign occurrences)
Quarterly
Annually
Your preference is selected on stage one 'Initial Setup & Employee Information' of the new campaign wizard.
Training Material: Training material can be assigned in two ways:
a) one training per campaign occurrence intelligently assigned based on previous employee interactions (default)
b) all trainings selected and assigned.
Choose your preference when selecting the training modules.
3. Common Scenarios & Recommended Best Practice
Scenario 1: Contoso Corp has 35 employees and want to run unpredictable monthly phishing campaigns.
Suggested Setup
Schedule (Between Days): 2 days (Wed–Thurs)
Schedule (Between Times): Business hours (9 hour day)
Content: 12+ relevant email templates
Frequency: Monthly
Reasoning: This will provide training on a monthly basis (every 4–5 weeks) over 2 days, during business hours. Employees will receive randomized emails at an unpredictable interval. Since the schedule includes a total of 18 hourly sending blocks, approximately 2 emails will be sent per hour.
Scenario 2: Contoso Corp has 100 employees and want to run unpredictable monthly phishing campaigns.
Suggested Setup
Schedule (Between Days): 3 days (Mon–Wed)
Schedule (Between Times): Business hours (9 hour day)
Content: 12+ relevant email templates
Frequency: Monthly
Reasoning: This will provide training on a monthly basis (every 4–5 weeks) over 3 days, during business hours. Employees will receive randomized emails at an unpredictable interval. Since the schedule includes a total of 27 hourly sending blocks, approximately 3 emails will be sent per hour.
Scenario 3: Contoso Corp has 500 employees and wants to benchmark their phishing detection skills.
Suggested Setup
Schedule (Between Days): 3 days (Mon–Wed)
Schedule (Between Times): First 4 hours of the day
Content: 4+ relevant email templates that have similar interactions statistics
Frequency: One-Off
Reasoning: This will provide a one-off training, provided during similar times of day, over 3 days. Employees will receive randomized emails at an unpredictable interval. Since the schedule includes a total of 12 hourly sending blocks, approximately 42 emails will be sent per hour. The tighter campaign schedule will allow them to analyze and report to management sooner.
Scenario 4: Contoso Corp has 200 employees and wants to run quarterly phishing campaigns
Suggested Setup
Schedule (Between Days): 5 days (Mon–Fri)
Schedule (Between Times): Business hours (9 hour day)
Content: 6+ relevant email templates
Frequency: Quarterly
Reasoning: This will provide quarterly phishing, over 5 days. Employees will receive randomized emails at an unpredictable interval over the course of a week. Since the schedule includes a total of 45 hourly sending blocks, approximately 4 emails will be sent per hour.
